We are very pleased about the approval of the Interreg project “Rethinking Spaces for Educational and Social Development Beyond and Within the Brenner Border.” The firm partizipation.tirol has been commissioned to implement the participatory process. In the coming months, people from the fields of education, youth work, social services, municipalities, associations, and community-based initiatives in the southern and northern Wipptal regions as well as in the Eisack Valley will come together to engage in dialogue. Together, they will identify challenges, highlight needs, and develop new opportunities for collaboration. The focus is on the question of how young people and adults can actively help shape one or more extracurricular learning spaces and what structures are needed to make this possible. We are seeking not only answers to current challenges but also ideas grounded in responsibility, participation, and collective action. The goal is to create a sustainable network of people, initiatives, and places where education, social interaction, and civic engagement converge. We envision spaces where new ideas can flourish. We are convinced that development succeeds where people can take on responsibility and contribute their skills. The participatory process is therefore not merely a tool for assessing needs, but also a living democratic practice. The results will be documented and published.
