Dear Sir or Madam, dear partners,
Sometimes great things begin with a simple question: What do young people and adults in the Wipptal and Eisacktal valleys need to fulfil their potential, take responsibility and actively develop and help shape their region?
This is precisely the question we will be exploring in the coming months. As part of an Interreg project, we want to work with partners north and south of the Brenner Pass to create a special place – or a network of connected places: a space where people can experiment, learn, meet and make things happen together.
What makes this special is that we are not planning everything from behind a desk. Instead, we are first asking the people it is all about. Everyone in the region – young people, professionals, parents, volunteers and anyone who is curious – is invited to contribute ideas and help shape the project from the very beginning. We will be supported by the experienced team at partizipation.tirol.
Here is our roadmap:
In autumn 2026, we will listen: through an online survey, conversations with key people and three workshops, we will gather experiences, needs and wishes. On 14 October, we will meet with professionals from education, social services and youth work; on 9 November, with young people aged 10 to 25; and on 2 December, with everyone interested at an open evening of ideas.
In winter, we will analyse and consolidate the findings. Building on this, in spring 2027 we will develop concrete ideas at a public planning workshop and further in-depth workshops: What should this place offer? Who will bring activities to it? How can it come to life?
In May 2027, we will present all the findings at a closing event. They will also be recorded in a brochure telling the story of this shared journey.
One thing matters to us: every voice counts, and no idea will be left gathering dust. Everything we hear and collect will feed directly into the development of the place.
We are very excited about this journey, and even more so if you join us. Whether by taking part in the survey or a workshop, or simply by sharing this invitation with people you know: Get involved. This place is being created not just for us, but with us.
